Welcome to the University Schools Trust, East London (UST)
The University Schools Trust is exceptionally aspirational for the young people it currently serves and we are deeply committed to extending our work in order to have an even greater impact on educational outcomes for young people. This will be achieved by improving standards more widely and changing the life chances of more children as our Trust grows. Our Board of Trustees comprises representatives from our six university partners, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), King's College London, University of Warwick, University College London, University of East London and the University of Greenwich. This unique collaboration between Higher Education partners, led by QMUL and our corporate partners XL Catlin and Wates Construction alongside the NHS and Poplar HARCA (Housing Association), is focussed on:
- The UST six elements of excellence - communication, investigation, participation, networking, scholarship and vision.
- Rich personal development opportunities.
- Exceptional information, advice and guidance offering a unique range of engagement opportunities.
Our curriculum model draws directly on the priorities established by both our education and workplace Trustees. UST students enjoy a curriculum that leads to success in science, the visual and performing arts and all subjects within the English Baccalaureate.
Established in September 2016, the University Schools Trust currently comprises two member schools located in two London Boroughs: St Paul’s Way Trust School - an Outstanding all-through school in Tower Hamlets - and Royal Greenwich Trust School - a successful Sixth-Form College, in the process of becoming a mainstream secondary school by admitting the first cohort of Year 7 students in September 2017.
